Intelligent cable fault tester

Function: Fault pre positioning is performed through low-voltage pulse method (measuring low resistance faults) and high-voltage flashover method (measuring high resistance faults), measuring the approximate distance of the fault point, the total length of the cable, and the propagation speed.

Technical features:

The maximum testing distance is 32km for power cables or 15km for communication cables;

1-meter resolution, supporting waveform storage and dual trace comparison (comparing fault waveforms with normal waveforms);

Automatic cursor search for fault turning points, directly displaying the fault distance.

Cable tracking and fault locator

Function:

Tracking mode: Electromagnetic induction method for detecting underground cable paths and burial depths (≤ 3m);

Positioning mode: The potential difference method accurately locates the fault point (such as insulation failure point) with an error of ≤± 10cm.

Technical features: The farthest positioning distance is 20km, supporting the fixed-point of 0-50M Ω insulation resistance faults.

DC high-voltage generating device

Function: Provide high voltage power supply (0-15kV) for high resistance fault testing, combined with impulse flashover method to enable fault breakdown and discharge, making it easy to locate.

Technical parameters: Rated power of 2kVA, input AC 220V, output DC high voltage, suitable for cables of different voltage levels.

2、 Auxiliary detection equipment

Acoustic fixed-point instrument

By capturing the sound wave signals generated by high-voltage discharge, the location of the fault point can be accurately locked based on pre positioning (in conjunction with a high-voltage generator).

Cable routing instrument

Specially designed for buried cables with unknown directions, the cable path is marked by electromagnetic signals and works in conjunction with a tracking and positioning device.

Cable Identification Device&Safety Piercer

Identification device: Identify target cables in complex pipelines to avoid misoperation;

Piercer: Remote safe piercing of faulty cables to prevent the risk of live operation.
