The Entire Process of Operating the Dielectric Loss Tester: Key Points for Each Step from Startup to Printing the Report

With just a gentle press, the experiment will be automatically completed "- this is the opening sentence of the HZ-2000H manual, and it is indeed true. But the premise of "easy pressing" is "correct wiring", and the wiring process is the technical core of dielectric loss testing.

Step 1: Grounding (top priority)

Before starting any wiring operation, the instrument grounding terminal must be reliably connected to the ground with a grounding wire. The instruction manual emphasizes that the instrument does not enter the normal program and does not output high voltage when not grounded - this is a hardware forced protection, not a warning recommendation. Poor grounding is not only a safety risk, but also one of the most common causes of data fluctuations (poor grounding can lead to severe data fluctuations, which are specifically listed in the manual).

After the grounding wire is connected, use a nail or screwdriver to scrape off the paint and rust on the grounding point, ensuring zero resistance grounding and not compromising.

Step 2: Wiring

Connect the test line according to the corresponding wiring diagram based on the tested equipment and the selected measurement mode:

Positive wiring: The high voltage cable is connected to the high voltage end of the red clamp test sample, the CX low voltage cable is connected to the low voltage end of the red clamp test sample, and the black small clamp is suspended.

Reverse wiring: The high voltage cable is connected to the high voltage end of the test sample with a red large clamp, and the black small clamp is suspended. The CX socket is not used when it is vacant.

The contact quality of the high-voltage red clip is crucial - the manual lists "poor contact of the high-voltage line red clip" as the first reason for data fluctuations. The clamp must be tightly clamped. When the drainage wire is severely oxidized, first use sandpaper to scrape off the oxide layer before clamping.

Step 3: Power on self-test

Connect the 220V power supply, press the power switch, and the instrument will perform a self-test. After passing the self-test, enter the main testing interface.

Step 4: Parameter Setting

On the touch screen, sequentially set:

Test frequency (usually 50 ± 5Hz frequency conversion anti-interference mode is selected on site)

Test mode (positive/reverse wiring/CVT dielectric loss/reverse wiring low voltage shielding)

Test voltage (usually set at 10000V, minimum 100V)

High voltage selection (select "internal high voltage" for routine testing)

Standard selection (select "internal standard" for routine testing)

Step 5: Start measurement

After confirming that the wiring is correct, click "Start Instrument Test". The instrument automatically boosts the voltage, first measuring at 55Hz, then measuring at 45Hz (dual frequency conversion mode). After about 40 seconds, the test results are displayed: capacitance Cx, dielectric loss tg δ.

Step 6: Storage and Printing

On the result interface, click "Save" to enter the number and save it, click "Print" to output the thermal printer paper, and click "Exit" to return to the main interface and prepare for the next measurement.
